Town gets new K-9 police officer





    Police Report

    Window Smashed/Items Stolen--Oct. 15, 4:57 a.m. on Pinehurst Avenue. The passenger side window of a vehicle was smashed, and a briefcase and cell-phone were taken.

    Playing Chicken--Oct. 15, 9:42 p.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Juveniles playing "chicken" were running across the road in front of cars as they approached.

    Juveniles Drinking--Oct. 15, 6:00 p.m. on New York Avenue. A resident requested extra patrol following Los Gatos High football games after a group of partying juveniles left several empty alcohol containers on his front lawn.

    Wallet/Backpack Stolen--Oct. 17, 5:09 p.m. at Blossom Hill Road and Garden Hill Road. A wallet and a backpack were stolen through the rear window of a vehicle.

    Foul odor in Parked Truck--Oct. 18, 11:27 a.m. on University Avenue. A foul odor emitted from a parked truck was believed to be from a dead animal. On further inspection officers found the odor was coming from tarps in the vehicle. It is unknown to whom the vehicle belongs.

    Roommate Dispute/Dead Fish--Oct. 18, 2:02p.m. A verbal altercation occurred between roommates. Afterwards one of the roommate's fish was found dead and the person making the report believes the other roommate is responsible.

    Bicycle Taken--Oct. 18, 2:31p.m. at Los Gatos High School. A BMX bike was taken from a classroom. The suspect was seen riding the bike, and it was eventually returned.

    Watch Stolen--Oct. 18, 8:46 p.m. on Lark Avenue. A gold watch was taken from a vehicle as it was being detailed at a car wash.
